SARAH ANN HENLEY

I don't care - let her die

1885 Sarah Ann Henley jumped of the Suspension Bridge in Bristol, because her fiance left her. She survived, because her balloondress stopped the fall. After finding her on the riverside they called a taxi, which refused to take her the the hospital – her dress was too muddy. This is a performative work

based on the story of Sarah Ann Henley, in which I tell my (her) story to the taxi driver.
